side note: Did any of you notice the recent commercials by GM/Chevy regarding their brag of having Fuel Flex engines? Saw commercial last night on the Cr...ugh.Avalanch ad.

We've been driving flex fuel tauruses for years in our fleet at work. Ford is way ahead of the ball on this.

That hideously lame 5 cylinder engine was also a major goof, especially when GM has the great 3800 V-6 with more power and better economy readily available.

Blame that on Isuzu. They were placed in charge of designing the S10 replacement. Since Isuzu sells trucks on a global scale, they were building it for a worldide distrobution. By the time GM realized what happened, it was too late. So they had to do something for mpre power, and the I5 was born.
