I got a 30minute shower last night. First in over 3months.

I dont think even with that and my watering will save my yard. I think the roots are dead now. It is so crisp I could set the yard on fire. I think a load of rock and cactus garden will be a cheaper replacement.

Now my slab cracked in the middle and both ends.. Had to take 1/8" off the top of front door.

Looking @ $9K or $10k for that. No telling how much for the sheet rock work. Every room needs it.........crap

I know what you mean about the slabs here in Texas. My old house shifted years ago. Walls and ceilings cracked, doors don't close or latch all the way and it looks like the San Andreas fault is running through my yard. One of the main reasons I bought a new house and moved. Now I am trying to find a House-Flipper to buy my old place.

According to the local weather gurus, it was supposed to be cloudy with about a 50% chance of rain again to day. Instead the sun has been out all day, not a cloud in the sky, and it's hot and humid...but the temperature is only about 95.

It seems the more technology the weather forcasters have the worse they are at predicting the weather. :fire::fire:

TJR's got it right. Most of the flooded areas don't have a history of it, and don't have it consistently enough to justify building canals or pipelines to relocate it. (The floods in North Dakota this year were the worst the area has seen in over 500 years.) Similar to how most of the areas getting hit by the drought don't have that status year-in, year-out to justify it.
