Thermostat

I think that I have a bad thermostat, 'quite slow to warm up even at 70 f outside. Do I have to remove lots of intake parts to get to it? It has been in about 40K miles or so.

FordMotorCraft# 2L2z-8575-aa \ rt1167
2i625 Diameter x 1i688+1i031 High
this may be a revised part number supercedes rt1120.

If you've still got a notorious JunkPlastic ThemoStatHousing, be sure to inspect that for cracks+leaks;
recommend swapping to an Aluminum ThermoStatHousing.

Thanks Dillard, I will look and keep an eye on the junk plastic. I just don't have the wherewithal to change it right now.
