I worked at a tire shop when I was in high school. It was a great source of "donor" tires! The manager would give me the odd old tire here and there and I'd mount them to my 428CJ powered Galaxie. I filled an intersection with so much smoke once that at the next light change no one could see the lights, so no one moved!

dreman,,Back in '69, I used to have the same type of fun with my, 406 tri-power '63 Galaxie. I would get my Gates tires replaced free at Whites Auto. The tires had a milage warranty,:lol:

dreman,,Your right about that, It would be a collector. They were rare. The motor is what was prelim to the 427 FE block, that came in the '64. Sold it when I went into the Army. Didnt realize what I had..
