We have an upright freezer that's been giving me trouble. Only a few years old but it seems to run all the time and the door is very cold and often doesn't close. I keep two strips of duct tape on the side to hold it shut. I go to Sears and order a new door seal, $77. Put it on today since work is closed due to weather. $#!% door still won't close and it's even worse. Take the seal and door panel back off. Close the bare door and the top corner hits long before the rest of it. Door is apparently bent. Then I remembered how the guys at the Ford Assembly Plant were adjusting the doors on Explorers...by hanging on them and bouncing up and down. What's the worst thing that could happen? Buy a new door? So I hold the bottom in with my foot and pull out on the top as hard as I can a few times. Seems okay now....

I'll let the whole thing get to room temp before I put it together again though.

I was thinking maybe its not level, with the backside higher and than the front, causing the door to not stay closed. But that's my .02

It was pretty level but I adjusted it while I was working on it. I always thought those door seals were magnetic but the door will just bounce right off.
