I'm confused Buzzworth. If one "claims" they are legal, but are not, and you take out taxes, what do they give and you use for an SSI number or work visa ID (or whatever the tax ID is for the employee)?

You can use a fake SSN with a falsified SS card.

The employer retains taxes, and you decide if you want to declare or not in April.

There's a few details:

-The IRS does not care about your immigration status, they just collect the money, and in very few cases (mandated by court) they will share info with Immigration.

-If you decide to declare your taxes, you get nothing back, but in case of an Amnesty, you get "good faith" points.

-If you're using a SSN from someone else, they get the SSA benefits IF taxes are retained by the employer.

-If you don't declare taxes, you're still in the same boat with less "good points".

Ah, you yourself Tom have asked why or government doesn't deal with "bigger" issues.

So, I ask, is this the biggest issue facing this country right now? Or even #2? Because given the hype one would have to believe that it is.

Frankly, I don't see it as that big a problem.

But then, maybe that is because it doesn't really affect me.

Congress seems to think that the #1 issue facing our country right now is gay marriage.

What a laugh... :(

I honestly believe why the parties in DC won't handle the illegal immigrant issue is that the Rep like the cheap labor and the Dems are pandering to the hispanic vote, they see millions of potential voters crossing the border. Neither will do anything about it.

Y'all have a good one

Actually, I think international issues are giving the government fits right now. They may talk about domestic issues, but no one can come to an agreement on anything, and the Afghani/Iraqi/North Korean issues keep popping up. The only thing domestically anyone can agree on is that gas is too expensive, but no one can agree on a solution.

Gavin,

All I have to say to your post is AMEN!!!

President Bush is more of a President to China, North Korea, and other countries than

he is to the Country that elected him!

To me, it would be equivilant to a man taking the family down the street, or around the

block, out to eat at a nice restaurant, while your own wife and children were sitting at

home starving to death, and wanting for the basic things that you had promised them

in your marriage (Presidency).Ted Kennedy (D, Mass) just tried to introduce a bill to have the minimum

wage raised, at least to a fair standard, Frist(R, Tenn) tried to tie it to a controversial Abortion

Amendment bill, making it almost impossible to pass!

I guess these posts, and others like it, are why the Military is trying to block our Website

from their computers!

Truth Hurts, Don't It!!!

Wait, there are some guys in black suits knocking at my back door...

I'll be right bacmikrdng'1!555!!!?$@@@@(HELP!):cool::cool::cool:
