Well, I just got in my new Pioneer AVIC-F90BT reciever and have a few questions for ya'll. I also got:

Pioneer ND-BC2 camera

Sirius tuner

Sirius bus interface

PAC steering wheel interface

PAC Ford harness interface

Pioneer IPod interface

I've put in stereos before, but I'll admit I'm little intimidated with the amount of wiring on this install. I have an '07 with the factory 6 disc with Sirius subscription, no nav. My questions are

1- Can I use the Ford sat antenna allready on the truck or do I have to have 3 sat antennas?

2- From what I gather, the Ford nav sat antenna is in the dash, will new system one be ok in dash too?

3- Where can I find the speed sensor wire?

4- Where can I find a back-up light wire without having to go to the tail light?

5- Where do you hide all the the interface boxes?

Any other tips and hints would be greatly apreciated. I will post pics of the install in progress and finished product when done. Thanx guys!

I have the Pioneer AVIC-Z3 (via software upgrade) in my 07 ST.

1. I don't know, don't have sat radio in mine.

2. Yes, my Pioneer GPS antenna sits directly under the center dash tray and works perfectly fine

3. Can't recall, do a search for "speed sensor" and it will return other posts about this..... Seems like I remember it being a Purple wire.

4. Tap into it from the gear shifter, you have to remove the center console to do the install so it won't be hard to get to. (See my next post below)

5. You have to carefully cram it all behind the unit. Not sure what the F90 looks like but he Z is a big unit. You have more than I do so shoe them behind the dash and just run the wires to them.

Other tips:

Use a 12V+ that is hot when the ignition is ON to power your rear view camera. This will enable you to display your rear view camera any time (not just in reverse) if the F unit supports it. With the Z units you can view the rear view camera anytime the unit head unit is on. This comes in handy when towing a trailer.

Th PAC harness (C2R-FRD1) will have the reverse wire and the VSS wire. That's what I'm using. Yes you can use the Factory Antenna, The NAVI antenna is ok under the plastic in the dash. My Z3 antenna is there. Factory Sat tuner is in the pass kick panel. The module fit nicely behind where the AC controls are (just a bit lower)

The VSS can be found in a harness that runs to the drivers side windshield wiper. I dont remember the exact color but if I do remember correctly there were 3 wires the same color. I remember reading the explorers have speed controlled windshield wipers, thats why there is a wiper there.
