Good thing, or does it mean its about to snap?

For the last 30k miles that timing chain rattle has lingered, until yesterday. I have been running Amsoil 5W30 for 2 years, and conducted my semiannual oil change last month. I got on the Highway yesterday and didnt notice the rattle. When I came to a stop light I turned the radio down and listened for it accelerating from a stop and nothing. The rest of the day and this morning continued....... no more rattle. Did the timing chain gods bless me or am I doomed???

Most of the time a thicker oil will do the trick....

since it is colder out, It may have thickened and removed the rattle, OR you had a detonation issue and new gas or gas filter solved it...

Could have even been a pulley or something else..

My '02 starts getting the rattle about 2500 miles after each oil change. Change the oil, and it's gone again.
