tire size with 3 in body lift

ok I just ordered the 3" body lift for my 01 and I am gonna take a weekend here soon and put it on, but I am alittle undecided on which tire size I should go with. The Les Schwab down by my house has some open country mud terrians I really like. Only problem is I dunno wether to go with the LT285/75R-16 or the 33/12.50QR-18? Would having 18 inch rims and having to backspace because of the tire size affect my trac negatively? (performace loss or front end damage)? Thanks for the help

With a 3" lift, 33's will fit. The rim diameter is irrelevant. That said, in my experience the bigger rims tend to have more backspace (to get that flush bling look) that will make the tires rub on the inside. On 18's versus 15's, on-road handling will be better but off-road will be worse.
