tires Bridgestone or Firestone

lokihg for new tires I was wondering if I should get the Bridgestone Revo or the Firestone Destination AT



Was concerned with the road noise with the REvo since it a very aggressive tread adn the bad weather handleing with the destinations.

i am on my 2nd set of revo's and love them. excellent in snow and wet pavement. one thing i would like to mention from my experience is that after about 30k the tire noise increases.

v ro, these are what I got put on right before all the snow and crap here in Pa. They work really well in the snow and have a nice tread design. I got them in a 245/75r16. Look great on the ST compared to the 235's I had on there. Got 4 off them for $450 installed total. No problems with traction so far and road noise doesn't seem a problem.(very little)

BTW, Bridgestone owns Firestone. I can't talk about the Firestones, bit I have Revos and like them.

The Revos are quieter than the Goodyears that come stock on our trucks. I am sure you'd be happy with them. Firestone owns Bridgestone, just like GM owns Daewoo. The cheapest Bridgestone will still be better than the best Firestone.



It doesn't matter who owns the company, because it doesn't mean the quality is built into all of the company's brands equally. If that was the case, GM's cheaper Daewoos would be flying off the lots, and the Cadillacs would remain unsold.

The Destinations are a very good tire, I have a set to replace my worn out bridgestone duelers. the factory goodyers are crappy, they are a soft rubber because they are an *allterrain* tire so they cup real easily.

My Revo's have been kicking but the last couple weeks in the ice. I find myself trying to make them slip, even when braking and I really have to make an effort. The only place that I have found that they don't work all that well is in the soft sand at highway air pressure.

I have REVOs and like them. The older ones on the rear did spin a little in snow and rain (it's very hilly here) until I put some weight in the back. The fronts are new because I fried the others in the blink of an eye from being out of alignment after off-roading. I should take some pics, they'd make you laugh.

I have Bridgestone Dueler H/L's on mine. Put them on around 60,000miles. I'm now 98,000 plus. Great tire, extremely quiet and great in the wet. I won't be surprised if I get close to 70,000 on them. I'll be buying the Dueler H/L Alenza's for my wife's Volvo XC90 which is a luxury SUV.

I just had the Firestone Destination AT's installed and loved them. My stock michlien tires sucked balls!!! I like the agressive thick tread on these alot.
