Don't think that is a correct part name..

Map would be manifold absolute pressure....

Todd Z

I do not know that term...

There is a MASS flow sensor.

This is, or use to be a MAP sensor, which was Manifold Absolute Presure. It had to do with figuring out the altitude it was at to determine if the air was light or heavy and then adjust the fuel to air ratio as needed.

it stands for temperature manifold absolute pressure but i need to know the definition of this part or what it does

Ok,,,

There is a sensor that register teh incoming temperature of the air, it uses this to adjust the fuel air ratio and it is "assumed" it is the ambient air temperature as opposed to engine room air temperature.

I know it by another name, but I am sure this is what your after.

I know of it as a MAT, Manifod Ait Temp sensor.

Here is a cut and past for some detail on it.

Functionally, this temperature-probe sensor helps the computer regulate exhaust-gas recirculation based on incoming-air temp. The sensor is either located in the air-cleaner housing (as it is here) or air duct. Removing the IAT/MAT sensor is usually straightforward.
