I bought a brand new '04 ST XLT in August of '04. I have 30K miles on her and she is great.
Yeah, I had to go to the dealer for some engine additive. I have some peeling on the radio bezel. But overall I am very satisfied. The gas mileage is comparable to most trucks.
Most importantly, the ride is very comfortable. If you want a truck with perfect handling, perfect interior, perfect ride, perfect engine.. you live a perfect dream. I had a Ford Festiva (real chick magnet) when I was in high school and college. The car lasted me 8 years (bought used) and it had no major mechanical issues.
Buy the '05 XLT premium and be happy with it. I do love the look of the Frontier Nismo tho.
