I had a question regarding the interior door handles.. Trying to find out if they're swapable between the front and the back.. I measured and they appear to be the same.. Just want to be sure before I rip these doors apart.. Please advise.

I know the handles are held on with screws and they screws are tight to get at. We actually drilled a hole on top of the screw to get a screw driver on the screw straight.



As far as the swap, I have no clue on that, My 03 and 04 are different then your truck..

I would say yes. Looking at illustrations they are the same part, and the same price, and if you look on eBay, sellers list them as right or left, not left front/left rear/right front/right rear, so I would say go for it.



edit: Did you mean handles you open with or the bars you pull on?

I want to paint the grey plastic bars black...Should I use the same method as painting the cladding? And is there something I can do to help it hold up?

Cotton..

1.Adhesion(sp?) promoter

2.Your color of choice

3.Then clear coat the heck out of it..



Duplicolor makes all these products and they have an burnt orange explorer on the can.. You could also try Krylon fusion .. But I'm not sure how well that holds up.

If you are referring to the pull bars, I know of others that have in fact swapped them. Though I have NOT done it myself, I am lead to believe it will do what you want with some minor minipulation...
