Tonneau cover gen 1 & gen 2

Has anyone tried putting a gen 1 on a gen 2? Is there that much difference in the beds? This is my first ST but I'm loving it.

But no gen 2, I'll keep looking.

Gen 2 bed is slightly wider so it won't fit.

I have an exteneder left over from my 2005 and it works fine in my '07.
