I am 6' 5" tall, shoe size is 13. I drive with the seat, not the backrest, as far back as possible. Why am I telling you this information?... Well I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this "issue". When I exit the truck my boots sometimes seem to snag the hood release and pop the hood. Being tall is not always great lol. And on this matter it is becoming a little annoying, having to close the hood when I park. Soon I may fabricate a metal cover so that only by hand can the hood be released. Just curious if anyone else knows my stuggle.

I hear ya. I am only 6' tall but I have long legs. I keep the seat as far back as it goes too and have popped open the hood on a few occasions.

Yes, I have modified the drivers seat in several St's for taller and larger people.

You can remove the seat, Then remove the track. Then put the track back on in the holes that are forward more on the seat. Then drill 2 new holes in the back and nut and bolt the track back on with proper bolts.

Works great and the seat now goes back 2+ more inches.

I'm 6'4" with a size 12 foot. I don't wear boots very often in the truck. I've NEVER had this happen, but I'm guessing now it will since you brought it up...:banghead:

Never snagged the hood release yet but do find the fixed forward head rests to be extremely uncomfortable on long trips.
