I worked through freezing temps in the dark last night, but they're finally on... Minus the step pads for now.

They look pretty good, although I may need to take a heat gun to the passenger side one and remount it since there's a pretty big gap in it. My only complaint right now: no predrilled holes on the ends where the instructions said they would be.

Here's that gap I need to fix. It looks like the lip on the board warped.

Looks great! on another note...i think if you got some spacers for the rear wheels it wouldn't look lower than the front, i think the rear just looks lower because the wheels are set in farther to the truck, just an idea.

Larry,

I really like the look. Much better than the stock. Your's look like an integral part of the truck.

By the way you said you worked all night in the cold. Do you have an auto hobby shop on base? Here at Hanscom AFB, ours gets a lot of use.

Looks great, but now you need to wash it and post some pics of it clean. How dare you post pics of a dirty ST? :D J/K. Makes me want em more and more...

Ecellent..really looking good...IMO Ford should have adopted those boards as a factory option or standard Item...makes the Trac look clean...

If I dont get them myself...Iam temted to pull my stepbars off..the factory ones look like sore thumb on my silver birch Trac...

Good job, Larry!!

Larry,

Looks awesome, Finishes it off nicely....

The gap is a pain to get rid of... Took me a little time and I finally just doubled up the 3m tape, Had a helper push it tight to the body and I added my own screw in the top, and it stuck good... a good 90 degree screwdriver works mint for that...

Looks like they matched the paint great also...

Enjoy them.

Thanks guys!

Todd, any other words of wisdom for making them stick better? I thought about trying a heat gun, but I think I would mess the paint up. It looks like the pass. side needs to come back a little bit, but I don't know.

Jeff, C'mon, you know you want a pair! :D

Caymen, I can stand on them. I prefer people don't use them (yet) so they can have time to adhere better to the body, and so I can get the pads on them. The brackets are galvanized aluminum angle pieces bolted to the factory nerfbar points. I bought them more for looks anyway since Jade's already lowered 3 inches.

I used to "live" in the auto hobby shop @ McConnell it seems. Did a lot of speed stuff on my 69 Chevelle there. They used to have races on the runway too--Pretty cool.

Thats back in '75 when it was the 381st CSGp.

Ey Larry, your truck looks great. I really like the pic up top. One question: does it not come with step pads? I wouldn't dare step on bare paint!

Flip, IT comes with them. He left them off to let the paint cure and the 3m tape does not stick good in the cold... He is better off waiting till it warms up slightly to stick them on..

Larry, what I also did is cheat the board to the front of the truck... Favor the front a little. You may not be able to do that with them stuck to the body already...:(

In the pics below, you can see I Favored the front to get the back on...
