The shifts are much, much faster and a little more firm. The kick down is also much better when on the interstate.

The biggest problem with the oem tcm tune was how slow it would go into gear at WOT. It felt like it was going from one gear then into neutral and then slowly engaging into the next gear. The RPMs would go up and the. There would be a small bogging effect when it would finally engage that next gear.

It would even do it shifting sequentially with the gear select manually.

My 2008 STA did the same thing only worse.

Torrie got 90% of the gremlins out of that tran and this far....I'd say 100% nailed this one.

Cool Deal, Can you update the other thread, where mentioned about him not getting back to you..

Torrie had similarly revised my trans tune back in the summer, including a much improved 1-2 shift. It made a big difference on take off, and I feel helped get my 1/4 mile ET at the track down to 13.66. He is the best. :haveabeer:

Glad you are happy with your results Carey. :driving:

Does this effect (improve) a trans with the bump problem? Just can't bring myself to go to the dealer so I am living with it...I bought the tuner from Torrie a year or so...

Ok, I'll have to check. At the time I bought it I asked him if he could solve this bump problem and he said no becuase no one was ever able to get him a truck with the problem...I'll email him direct and ask as well...

Hi Frank - My improved trans tune does not solve the bump stop, and Torrie had given me the same info you just shared, back many moons ago. If you get updated news from him please share back. Though Carey had a good result from his improved upshift tune, I'd think a different function in programming would need revising to specifically address the (downshift) bump stop condition. Given my Saleen tune, I unfortunately can't take my ST back for a dealer fix on the occassionally mild bump stop condition I experience.
