Tow Hook bolts

I just recieved some tow hooks that I bought on eBay and they did not come with any hardware to install them with. I was wondering if I need to buy the hardware from Ford or can I go to Home Depot and buy some and if so what size to get.

I used Grade 8 bolts from the hardware store, I foget which size though...whatever will fit in the holes.



Also used washers and lock washers.

I'd see if your local auto recycler, or what ever they call them in your area, has the bolts. That way you know you are at least getting close to the correct ones.

I called my local Ford and talked to the parts guy there and he said that the bolts cost $3 and their size is 12mm X 1.75" x 60 but the wierd thing is the bolts which he said are nothing special cost $15 apiece. So I went to home depot and bought 4 7/16 X 1.5 Grade 5 Bolts 4 Nuts and 6 lock washers (a baggie). I used 1 lock washer on each of the 2 more forward bolts and 2(1 on each side) on each of the 2 rear bolts.
