Whywhywhy? For any reliable car owner, this is just a total cash-grab. This new-2-me 2010 has it and of course the dash light is on constantly...unless i press reset. There has to be owners here who have deactivated the system. Anyone have directions or a link ?Thanks

Can’t. It’s federally mandated to be there. Just replace the sensors. Aftermarket kits can be purchased and programmed.

You would need to recode the tpms system. So find a custom code patch or another similar truck without that system. Don't think you would have much luck either way.

Screw that...its not mandated in Canada. There are many ways to over-ride this idiotic SAFETY feature. Just wondering if anyone here has done any. The more i read about this the surer i am that it does more harm than good...it doesnt show fault until 25% underinflation, many have to be reset if tires rotated, doesnt work on after-market rims, can actually EXPLODE in certain conditions etc.etc.If a driver doesnt see that a tire is underinflated by OVER 25%, than he doesnt care anyway and shouldnt be driving, period.I will get this idiot-light ( so appropriate here ) off...and it wont be by paying hundreds $$$ for 2 sets of unnecessary b.s.

your choice, your life, your safety.... aftermarket kits are 50-100 and programing is cheep.... Some tire places install valve sensors and program at same time. good luck finding a bypass.
OR go here.... people have used this but its not 100%
