Trailer Wiring

I have a 2001 ST with the std 4 pin flat trailer connection. There are 2 wires up under the bumper that are not attached to anything. One appears to be the ground. Can someone tell me what the other wire is for? Is it reverse lights for a 5 wire trailer? Thanks!

I think a long time ago that was found to be for the brake light on a cap or topper if you installed one...

the 2 wires you're referring to are probably for the CHMSL (center high mount stop lamp). I used them for wiring in the brake llight on the cap on my truck.
