Transmission cooler

I noticed the trans cooler is 6 inchs or so infront of the radiator. would it not be more benificial to have a shround around it or put it closer to the radiator to get the benifit of the fan?

I would imagine that if it was critical that you get the absolute maximum cooling you could pull from the cooler, a shroud might help achieve that, but for the vast majority of cases I don't believe it is necessary. I did not even bother to mount the fan along with my add-on cooler.

For general service. the location is fine. If you do heavy towing. You might consider a second cooler in series. With or with out a fan.

as long as you go throught the radiator with the fluid, it'll be ok... to have the fan drw over it would be ideal..
