Transmission Heat shield

I just installed my PML transmission pan on my 05 trac and the heat shield is causing me issues. Since the new pan does not have the little nubs to lock the shield clips onto I cant get it to stay tight.



Do I need this thing installed?

Yes, need to mod some way for the heat shield. Extreme temps radiate from the cat-convertors.

I removed mine, no issues, tranny temps never exceed 150, your running 3 more QTs of fluid and the PML is at least 1/4 inch thick, not to worry.

I removed mine too..... It is now a tool draw dust collector...

eddie, granted, you need it with the OEM pan.
