I thought I had a loose belt or something, but tonight I finally decided to track it down.... its coming from in or around the tranny underneath... any ideas what this is? If it makes a difference I just had my tranny rebuilt.... level is good on the fluid.

Help?!?

I know this might sounds odd(no pun intended...:) ) , but is it a high pitched, almost pure tone type of noise that only occurs when it's really cold out? Say <20 degrees? There is a TSB about the alternator doing this. I had it on my ST and thought that is was tranny related, as it really did seem to be coming from the area of the tranny from the noise I was hearing inside the ST. New alternator did the trick...

Chris, if you just had this tranny rebuilt, take it back right away while it's making the noise.

Something may need adjusted. Don't wait, So you catch a potential problem before it becomes a major problem.
