Trouble Code: P0485 Cooling Fan Power/Ground Circuit

Got this error code "CEL" tonight. Any thoughts on what it might be (aside from the obvious)? She wasn't running hot.. right around 185 F. which is normal.



All "could be" thoughts are welcome.

The ST does not have an electric cooling fan, So my guess is that it is a bad sending unit or the Gauge sender... Normally there are 2, one for the computer and one for the Gauge...

In other vehicles that do have an electric fan this type of code is normally send due to a defective module that operates the cooling fan. Many have the relay built into the module. If the relay fails, the module fails. Soooo, you get a code.



However, our Tracs (as noted above) do not have electric fans....

Thanks guys.. I'm gonna take her to the dealer on Thursday. I've got a 75k warranty so I should be covered.
