This is the auxiliary light I got from K-Mart. It came with built
on light switch for convenience. You do have to get your own fuse and fuse
holder, 10 feet of 16ga. Primary wire, wire loom and black nylon ties.

I found this good location under the hood where this two metal
tabs hold hood insulation. Also have enough clearance between light and
engine. It's also supplies good ground.

Tab can be easily bent backwards.

I drilled hole to mount the light housing. It's easiest to use
self-tapping screws to drill into metal tab and light housing base. Base is
also made out of metal and self-grounding.

Here I finished installing a screw and light-housing base.

This photo shown wire already routed to the other side of metal
tab.

If you are installing second light under the hood, just repeat
the process on the other side. Some of you just might need one light.

Here is another angle shot.

Make sure to run the wire under the insulation and use wire-loom
to hide the wire. I use 10 amp mini blade type fuse holder and fuse for
protection.

Here is finished project. Pushed on the switch and you got useful
light on the engine bay.
