You think SOMEONE in the newscast team would have said, "Hold on a minute...."

I don't really get the last one.

The 3rd one is my favorite

I "like" that MSNBC link provided as it implies that just because these names "look Asian" and sound like English words that they are "racist". Sigh.

NTSB appology?? http://www.ntsb.gov/news/2013/130712.html

Between the NSA, IRS, EPA, DOE, I think the Obama administration is going through a Melt-Down

Worst part is, the REAL name of the pilot is nearly as ridiculous as those fake names. I've heard it pronounced "Leaking Kook" on a couple different newscasts today, and all indications are that that pronunciation is indeed correct...

New information--The airline is suing the TV station, saying that the erroneous report damaged their reputation.

So let me get this straight--it was a TV station that fell for a stupid practical joke that damaged the airline's reputation, and not the plane's crashing and burning?

I love the comment from that page which indicated that the name of the attorney representing the airline is Sue D. Whiteman...

The NTSB blamed the confirmation on a "summer intern overstepping his authority" and stated that they do not and have never confirmed names.

If they NTSB has a "long standing policy" of not giving confirmation then why did the news company contact them seeking confirmation? That's what I want to know.
