Unknown Part front end 2003 xlt

Son rear ended someone. Liability means I am fixing it. I pulled the entire front end off and found this part. No idea what it is or where it came from. It was on the driver side to the side of where the radiator is. Any ideas?

If you have the overhead console. Looks like the outside temp probe. It looks to be broken or the cover is off.

IIRC that's the slide pin that the front bumper slides on to... its an assembly clip...

Sorry about that. Looks like the first pic has a wire coming to it.
