Update on front end knocking

More of a rant than anything...



About two months ago I posted regarding some knocking from the front end over bumps, railroad tracks or manhole covers.



So far this is what has been done...



- Replace Lower Ball Joint

- Replace Control Arm

- Replace CV Joint

- Replace Stabilizer Support Links



That did not solve the problem... So now they've diagnosed it to and waiting for parts to replace...



- Front Suspension

- Rack & Pinion



I'm pretty sure this would be a few grand worth of work.



It's a 2007 with 65,000km on it. My advice to you is, and I'm glad I did, buy the extended warranty!

I hate parts changers... I would ask them to put the old parts pack on...:fire: with these additional parts, tell them that if it does not fix, they're eating the parts...:smack:

I think the dealer is getting the extended warranty to eat the parts.



I just love a large dealership shop telling me "we think it's this now". You're specially trained on this specific vehicle, you can't tell what's wrong, and you want me to pay for you to switch parts until it stops doing it?

Your gonna need front shocks...been there done that.
