Upper control arms replaced

Has anyone ever had to have their upper control arms replaced? I took my ST in for an alignment and they told me that they would not be able to complete an alignment without replacing my loose upper control arms. It ended up costing me $1100 CDN for all the work.. needless to say I wasn't happy and I wasn't in the position to get a second opinion.

i had mine done also a few months ago upper and lower with alignment $800 us. 2001 had a bad run it seems on these. i will say mine made a big difference.

2K1 Job 2, not had that issue.

A new upper arm with ball joint from Ford only cost $92.00. It takes abot 15 min. to install. if the ball joint is good just add a set of aligment shims around $40.00 for 2 sets then they can adjust both caster and camber. tom
