I have an 07 that has an Aux jack in the center console. The radio has a "Line-In option.

I was wondering if I can connect my Palm cell phone (Verizon) into this jack, and hear the caller through my truck speakers? I'm pretty sure it will work but I need a cable with the 3.5mm on one side (Line in jack on truck) and the smaller connector for the cell phone (not sure of the size). Also, I need an in-line microphone in the cable so I can talk to the caller.

I know they are out there, just don't know where to look for them.

Radio Shack maybe? I'm gonna look there today at lunch - just in case.

Radio Shack Best Buy, Fryes, Office Max/Depot, Staples maybe...Also check with your cell phone carrier store. Where ever they sell cell phone/car equipt.

I think radio shack would work, as far as the cable, you could get on for the phone, Cut the end and install the right jack...

Trial and error i guess...

Update:

Well, I went to Radio Shack at lunch and they looked at me like I had 3 heads. Was kinda funny. They started talking about making one for me - talking about wires, soldering, what kind of microphone I wanted - I just laughed.

Before I left for lunch, I found several versions via Google searching for "2.5mm to 3.5mm with microphone". they start from $7.00 and up. Radio Shack never heard of these. For around $10.00, it's worth trying. If I find one, I'll let you know how it works.

Anyway, a buddy of mine is going to Best Buy after work and he'll see about finding one.

Gettin' closer...
