Vegas Sport Trac at Vegas to Reno

We are leaving tomorrow for the BITD Vegas to Reno off road race. We pre-ran two weeks ago and the 457 mile course is really good for the truck. You can follow the race in real time at www.racetheworld.net . If you are in the Vegas area on Thursday we will be at contingency and tech from about noon till 5:00 pm stop by and say hi. Tech and contingency at the South Point on Thursday, race starts Friday in Beatty, and the Awards are in Reno Saturday at the Sands.

We'll be in Reno kart racing all weekend, so no Grand Am/IRL doubleheader at Infineon this weekend. I'm not a big fan of those Dallara 'crapwagons' the IRL runs anyways. They're slow and super noisy. I hope Tony George decides to ditch 'em for a new chassis before 2011! I'll be going for my second podium finish in a row at Desert Park Raceway, having finished 3rd in the Rick Jerome Memorial Night race there on Aug 9th.

What time does qualifying/racing start at DPR?

Driver's meeting is at 9 am. Practice & qualifying start shortly thereafter... NNKC usually runs 6-7 classes, and we run 2 heats and a main. We should be done by 3 at the latest, then it's back down the hill... Lindsey starts fall semester Monday.
