On easter, we're back in west chester, pa to see family. i was driving with the wife and kids on rte 322 a two lane 55 mph road. A deer jumped over the guardrail from the bushes and landed right in front of the truck. I replaced the shocks last year after 3 months with the truck as per the suggestions of the members of MYST. I hit my brakes to not hit the deer and then threw the truck into the other lane and back. There is no way the truck does not turnover if i had not replaced the shocks.

Regardless the deer bodychecked the passenger side of the door and no damage was done. Thanks to the members

Glad everyone is alright and no harm was done.:supercool:

Pennsylvania has some of the dumbest hunting laws. My family around Pymatuning don't do well with laws and such, though. Pennsylvania is extremely overpopulated with deer and hunting season is a couple weeks long with a small limit. There are some brutes, though.

I have lived there most of my life. I can honestly say its not about hunting laws. it is about over-development. the deer have no where to go.

In Texas they passed a law a few years ago that if you hit a deer (or any wild animal), you can take it home and eat it (assuming you can still drive your vehicle). You are only required to report it to the police.
