Well... After the steam clean I still had a remarkably horrible odor. Sooo.... unable to stand it any longer i ripped out the rear seats. Holy CR@P! This stuff got all over the rear of the seat and other areas I never would have been able to reach! Also, the thick foam that surrounds the female seat belt connectors was smother.... I have wiped, sprayed, cleaned, vacuumed, aired out, u name it... and still... even with the seats out of the truck... it remains. I must/will get this out! but had to vent. This is just unreal! Moral of the story.... DO NOT VOLUNTEER YOUR RIDE! i know i know... me dumb... but the leason is soooo learnt!:wacko::angry::wacko:

Side note -> wanta make some kind of positive out of this. I intend to keep the seats out and turn the 60/40 into a 40/40 so I can put a attractive arm rest/container/subwoofer console in the extra space. So look for me to be askin about that project soon enough.

I'm curious where you "friend" is in all of this? What does he say? Seriously, you need to have him over there helping you IMO at the VERY LEAST. Yes, you learned a lesson, but has he? I mean, if he gets off scott free from this, who's to say he won't do it again.

I've always been DD since the very reason this happened is the reason I don't drink (why make yourself miserably sick...), but when I am DD I throw them in the bed of the truck.

Just my .02

woppy, check out zeibart tidycar. They've got a machine that can get any smell out. I dumped a 5 gallon container of deisel over in the trunk of my car and it soaked into the rear seat cushions from the trunk. They made the car smell brand new!

Post your zip code and year of your Trac. I'll send you a list of yards near you that have your seats. It may be easier to buy something cheap rather than screw with what you have...

My friend has been charged for all the cleaning fees so far. And he has offered to help out many times but when it comes to this... it's no use... I am a hyper critical owner and perfection can only be met via my efforts and standards..

I intend to take all the cloth off the seats to inspect how the foam looks and throughly wash the covers later today.

CoastieJoe -> my Zip is 23185 for home... but 23606 for work. my trac is an 2003

If u could just search for the 60 portion that would great. Thats where 95% of all the junk happened. and even if i can salvage it having the extra seat to play with on the 40/40 modification would be very helpful.

Woppy - I think you missed Jenn's point. Get your friend in there to work on and smell what you are going through. He can help you and you can still make sure it is right. He will think twice before doing this again . . . . .

Woppy, sent you one email with two lists in it.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

PS. READ THE DETAILS of the parts as some of them are for Explorers and Sports as well as Tracs......

Scott- I agree with you & trust me my friend knows how big a deal this is to me. And even though he insists on helping, because he actually is a quality person/friend, I'm a bit of a control freak and his aid would acutally have a reverse affect.

CoastieJoe- Thank You for the email! Got it and it will be a big help! :)

No problem, I have the inventory of just over 1800 yards at my finger tips.

It is a nice program, it comes at a cost though. $700.00 a month....
