Kind of a long video as they track the insurgents but the last 15-20 seconds are worth the wait...:fire:

Just a demonstration of the fire power of an Apache gunship and the fact that they were out about 1500 meters and the insurgents did not even know the chopper was there.

The apache and other weapons like it are why I LOL when someone tells me that we need to protect the rights of gun owners for the day that we might need to overthrow our government again.

I LOL, roll my eyes, and think: "Right!"

TJR,

I agree with your assesment of the Military firepower the US poseses, but then you should also know that the Military and their sophistcated weapons cannot be used against US citizens. In light of the various revolutions that have taken place in the Middle East over the past year, I don't think that any US politician can justify the killing of US citizens like in Syria or Libya, etc. I don't think the members of the military would tolerate that.

Also, most people claim they need to protect their right to own weapons is if the US should be overrun by Russia, China, etc, and not to protect themselves from a corrupt government...but that may be what happens.. They feel that any country trying to overtake the US would be involved in a house to house street fight with US citizens as well as the military. This kind of goes back to the "Resistance movements" in Europe during WWII.

fkent484,

Clearly you have not watched the epic documentary movie "Red Dawn" and what deer rifles can do.

Not sure who you were directing your comment to, but I would never consider "Red Dawn" a "Documentary"??? I agree that it was a good movie...but totally fictional.

You mean Cuba never invaded us with Russia's help?

What are you talking about??? Or what are you smoking? As someone who retired from the military after 20 years service, I was never aware that Russia or Cuba ever invaded the US? Please explain what you are talking about and give dates and exactly where we were invaded by Cuba or Russia...and how the movie Red Dawn is a Documentary of this invasion?

Haven't y'all been to Miami? It was definitely a successful invasion. Hadn't thought of it, but I should have known the Reds were involved!
