water coming from inside heat-air vent

water has started dripping (rapidly sometimes) from the dual port below the ashtray a couple ofdays ago. it isn't antifreeze............just plain water. just condensation?????? Thanks

Check the drain at the fire wall for the air conditioning. Run the air and see if any water drips from the drain hose(if it is not humid it may take awhile) if not dripping that is your problem.

Anthony is right, I had a clogged drain and it was a big fountain inside the car (not the ST)...

Have not looked(no flash light) but it should be on the passenger side of fire wall, lower half. Will take look in morning, and get pics if possible.

While I agree that it is most likely a clogged condensation drain, there could be another cause.



One cause could be a water leak somewhere around the windshield gasket and the water travels around the edge of the glass to the middle and drips from under the dash.



Another problem we had with my wife's Saturn Ion was that the segments of the heater/AC case was not sealed properly and the condensation was leaking through the seams of the case before it got to the drain. Saturn fixed the problem and it never occurred again.
