Last Friday we left to New Mexico to see my brother one last time. Unfortunately, while pulling into Shreveport, LA we got a call that he had gone on to Glory. Needless to say, the rest of the trip was very solomn. Cancer finally won that battle, he fought for a very long time without chemo or any other type of treatment. He left it all in the Lord's hand, as he said, "This is what the Lord has chosen for me and I must accept it." My 92 year old mother is devastated, it really hurt to leave her.

Very sorry to hear that, Rose. Thoughts and Prayers go out to you and your family.

There were over 400 people at the "Rosary" service Monday night and 500+ at the actual funeral service Tuesday morning. The Base Commander & Wing Commander from Cannon AFB and the Chief Msgt of the Air Force were there for the full military burial ceremony. R

Rose,

Please accept my sincerest condolances to you, LaRue and your family. I feel your grief and sense of loss. I lost my brother in 1992, also due to cancer.

Best regards,

...Rich

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I had a fiance pass away just over a year ago, 2 weeks before our wedding date. I still have days that are extremely tough. Always remember that you have family, friends and those of us here on the board that you can always turn to, even if you just want to vent. We will all understand I'm sure or that.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Although we all know it is part of life, that does not make it any easier when the time comes.

My prayers are also with you.

Rose, I am sorry for your loss. I understand what cancer can do. I have lost many in my family to it, Including My mother in 81. But now the pain and suffering are gone and he is a better place. My tears and prayers go out to you. Ron
