There were lots of researched based uses of LSD back then. not only medicinal, but also the government for use on POWs from other countries for intelligence. some pretty crazy stuff. watched a lot of documentaries on it in abnormal psychology lecture. some crazy stuff. still know 2 people that love/use it. contrary to the above video's, most "trip's" are not bad (not from experience:cheeky. I watched one documentary on a guy who curled himself in a ball because he thought he was an orange and if someone squeezed him orange juice would come out. :rofl:

From experiance, that is BS. Never had a bad trip or flashbacks. Used it at least 3 times a week for 6months in '72. Off and on until '87 when I cleaned up my act.

The quality of a trip depends on the mental stability of the tripper. Trippers with psych issues or suppressed traumatic events often have bad trips. The quality of the trip also depends on the mindset of the tripper just prior to dropping acid. If one is stressed, they're more likely to have a bad trip. Great expectations brings good trip.



Before dextromethoraphan (DXM) became a drug of abuse, I took too much when I had a cold. I experienced a DXM trip that lasted about two hours. Although it was 90 degrees outside, I curled up on the sofa with a quilt and watched Nickelodeon cartoons. I'd drift off and hallucinated repeatedly that I killed my pet starling by cutting off his head. Every fifteen minutes, I had to get up to see if he was OK.
