weird noise....

ok so sometimes this happens......like i accelerate then the exhaust sounds n when it goes quiet at around 40mph, it makes this weird noise. sort of like screws loose jumping in the engine. my dad says somethign about gas but i dont know. its when the car changes gears and the 'jumping tacs' noise sounds. neone haev this problem?and if so how do i fix it

My 01 did something liek that with about 115k on it..have someone rev the truck up to about 2500-3000 and let it off, u go underneath and listen near the catalytic converters...if its coming from that area, chances are the honeycomb insie of the cat is falling apart.

How long has it been since you changed your oil? My timing chain starts to rattle when it's time to change the oil. (Built in reminder, I guess :wacko: :lol: ) As soon as I change the oil, the noise is gone.
