I actually took Jade to a dealer to get worked on. Never thought I'd see that happen...

Anyways, went in and had some recall work done (Recliner bolt) and decided to go ahead and get my drivers door looked at. So it just so happens I break the two parts that no one has stocked in town, so I have to go back tomorrow. They're overnighting a new door handle (broke the tensioning spring) and a new mounting rivet for my doorlock actuator. Fun. All in all, it'll cost about $170 by the time all is said and done.

True, but it was kinda fun watching them try to figure out why she wouldn't start. :D

Bad part was I put the stock tune back in before I took her down, that way they wouldn't wipe it out, and she was shifting so sloppy on the way down I thought the OD light would come on.

Hey Larry, What's with the recliner bolt? Does it break? I ask because if I recline my seat all the way back, I have to 'help' it get started back upright. Is that because of the recliner bolt? Thanks.

According to Ford, eventually it will shear off, and the seat back will fall all the way back unexpectedly, which could be pretty bad when running down the highway.

It's for the captains chairs. The ones without adjustable head restraints.

I got the seat fixed, and it definately feels better. My door handle and rivet came in the next morning, but I haven't been able to take it in yet, so I scheduled her to go back a week from Friday.

They did tell me at least the door handle is the correct color.
