so, i am gettin a in dash 7'' dvd tuner/player. what types of door speakers do u guys recommend.i found some sony 4 way speakers that im going to install in the front, but for the back doors i want some speakers that have good bass. thanks in advance.

here's a link for the dvd unit tell what you think( im getting it for $400 installed)

I've got an Alpine 7" in-dash, Polk 6.5 components for the front doors, 6x8 Infinity 2-ways for the rear doors, and two 12" subs for the bottom end.

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything more then a 3-way speaker, and would never buy anythign Sony (for car audio). What is your budget for speakers? You ideally would have your soundstage up front, all up front, including bass. If you put too much bass in the rear, the music will sound seperated and poor in quality.

In Dash Alpine IVA-D310 touchscreen w/ NAV, Alpine Type R 6.5 in all Doors. Alpine MRV-F345 on hi's and Alpine MRD-F605 on Bass. 4 JL Audio 6 inch W 0 Subs. pics in library.

tiger, i would like to spend no more than $300 on speakers. where are your 12's located. i had two 12's in my car and it would be awsome if i could get them in the trac.

4x Pioneer TS-A688IR 4ways ($120) and sound deadener ($110) inside and outside door skins sounds absoulutely fantastic. With 30-30hz response, they cover a nice range.

this is my new head unit

Lol....I'm running the system Jim used to have....Thanx BTW Jim. Plus I added Pioneer PRS-D4000F Amp and Pioneer TS D801P Speakers all the way around.

[Broken External Image]:

The amp was something like $180 and the speakers were $108 per pair.
