Nice! I didn't even know the 5400 was available as I bought in early December the 4800 AMD Dual Core. The system boots up in less than a minute.

Your system is much more expensive with all the toys though as I only paid 899.00 for mine with 1gig of ram.

IBUYPOWER.COM paid $2400.00 considering what the machine has I dont think I could of purchased these componants individually and built it myself and saved and get a free upgrade to vista.

Evan,

It looks like a great system. I would have went with Intel Core 2 Duo myself though but that's just my preference. :D

Just looking at the video cards, is it possible to upgrade to the 8800 series? I know they are more money but these cards support the new DirectX 10 games that Vista will support. DX10 kills DX9 graphics and since it looks like you are going to a gaming rig it might be worth it to upgrade now.

Very nice system. I have a few comments.

Hard drives, is it too late to get 16mb cache drives? You would notice a difference. Also, do you need Raid for something? Some people get it but dont really know why.

You got a case that comes with a PSU then bought another PSU? Coulda saved some cash there.

Careful with pre installed liquid cooling sytems like yours, they've been known to have problems with leakage.

I have one and support AMD computers but Conroe really is the way to go, they blow AMD out of the water right now.

And to your comments, yes you coulda saved a bundle building that yourself. Vista is definatly not worth the hassle at this point so the coupon really isnt needed. Vista wont really be viable until late late 2007.

But on the positive, yes you should really have fun with that setup.

Kale D I suspect he got the beefier 700W PSU because the 420W that was with the case would have been pushing it what with all those devices. Also, often the PSUs that come with cases are not the best and instead a cheaper no/lesser-named brand.

I shoulda clarified. Meant that he coulda picked a case without a PSU since he bought an aftermarket one.
