What is the Mechatronic ?

Hi Everyone! I just got my 07 Limited ST back from the dealer today, it was in the service

department once again for the Transmission. They replaced the Mechatronic Assembly and flushed and refilled all the lines. Can anyone tell me what part of the transmission this is?

I really hope this solves the shifting problem, that is so common with the 07 Limited ST, I love

the truck, just tired of this problem...Let me know if anyone else has had the dealer replace

this part on their ST...Thanks

Sounds like a fancy name for the valve body. Just a guess though.

I agree with Spif. I have never heard that term but since the valvebody in the transmission is a combination of mechanical, electronic, and hydaulics that control the shifting of your transmission.



Also, most of the problems with Ford's automatic transmissions for the past 8+ years has been related the valvebody. Either sticking valves or leaking valvebody gasket.
