So I was curious who has the longest, shortest and most interesting work commute in their ST.

Mine takes me 98 miles one way,

I drive 30 miles before the doors lock (first stop sign)

Drive another 30 miles until the next slowdown for a freeway onramp

Drive another 36 miles until the next stop sign and then 2 miles to the office with one more stoplight between.

98 miles - 2 states, 4 counties and 80-85 minutes.

I'm getting annoyed with Houston traffic. I used to drive 65 miles each from north Houston to south Houston and back again, and it took me 1hr 15min each way. I now drive 25 miles to work, and my BEST time has been 50 minutes! I tried going in earlier and it got worse! This is insane!

I drive 6 miles each way. I have 2 stop signs and 2 traffic lights going to work and 4 stop signs and 2 traffic lights going home.

Most of itis 2 lane rural roads. Corn, soybeans, horses, and cows.

I have a new job now with a company truck so I don't drive the ST to work.

But my old job is one of the main reasons I got the ST.

It was an 80 miles round trip with about a 2000 foot elevation change during the drive.

My hometown is around 1100 feet above see level and my job was at 3100. Not interstate either, most two lane roads. And the snow I would drive through would be crazy sometimes but the trak never let me down

I drive 17 miles each way. It takes about 50-60 minutes. I have 3 school zones and at least 12 traffic lights I go through. I could go on an interstate but it actually takes longer to drive it that way. Life in suburbia!! We love our top-rated school system though which is why we are willing to sit in traffic every day so long!

Get picked up by a company provided MCI motor coach. My ST sees only about 3000 miles a year.

My commute allows for an hour of reclined sleep on the way in each morning and an hour to catch up on reading or surfing the net on the way home each evening.

3.4 rural miles one way except for the last .25 mile through a couple lights.

Mine is great.....no commute....I work out of my home office. 2008 Adrenalin with only 56,000 miles.

Less than 2 miles each way. Takes maybe 3 minutes, more if I catch the red light and then I get pissed off. It sees me coming, either way, and turns red. :fire:

That being said, I use the Trac for work, either doing bids or hauling ladders and such, and I have another office 30 miles north that I go to once or twice a week. I spend about half the day in it. Also 4 trips to Florida and back, so it has 93k on it now.

Been retired since '05. Before that I drove the trac to work aproxamatly, 9 mile round trip.

At that time I also had my '94 'stang and a '93 dodge shadow. The shadow most of the time. I worked in a chemical plant with fall-out. The 'stang and trac got parked in an overflow lot farther away.

Nowdays all I have is the trac. Should have never sold the 'stang . All I got was the book $$. I had over $10k in the motor, exhaust, trans, body and suspension, @ about 12K miles. Only 54k miles on the car.

Well looks like I have the miles, and the gas bill to show for it! OUCH!

In all the miles I drive to and from work, in any given week, I have the opportunity to see lots of Farmland, - Whitetail and Mule Deer, Antelope, Buffalo, Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Llamas, Coyotes, Turkeys, Elk, Racoons, Badgers, Porcupines, Rabbits, Turtles, and about a few thousand Prairie dogs. Not too many tree huggers though!:eek:fftopic:

Eyes on the road:driving:, but sometimes these critters are on the road too!

Interesting sights for sure! Keep those commute stories coming!

Beautiful Stang Eddie! I've always loved that style wheel, too.

8.5 miles one way, but I do get to drive past the end of a runway and get to see the 7:10am to Charlotte taking off right over my head sometimes. Just like Waynes World!

On the way home, I get to see landings, the planes are about 30 feet over my head.

Since I generally ride the Harley, its funny to hear something louder than me accelerating away!

About 2 miles. If I hit the lights just right, I can go from my garage to my desk in less than 8 minutes. Takes me through older residential areas and to the uptown. i have about six different ways to go, and none are better/faster than the others. Usually ride the Voyager if the weather is dry and above 30.

I have been retired since 2010 so my commute is from my bedroom or kitchen to my home office which at the most is 30 feet.

I traded in my 2003 Sport Trac in 2008 to by my Mercedes....So I no longer own a Sport Trac, but having owned a 2001 and a 2003 Sport Tracs I certainly did like them and said from the beginning, that the Sport Trac is the only Truck I was willing to own. I don't have the need for any truck now.
