what size tire

Does any one know what is the rule of thum for chosing tire size.



I know the comments about keeping the stock size intended, so just skip that comment. I have 265 75r16 and they seem to be rubbing. I bought the truck with these tires. I really like the way they look but it looks like I will have to lose them. The noise is driving me up the wall.

Is it true that you can go one size up or down?



Any suggestions?

First where are they rubbing??? front on turns or the back??

If the back, 2 things can be done. 1) you can simply trim off some of the fender liner with a razor knife, 2) Some times the rear bed is misaligned, you can loosen the bolts and straighten the box. IF the front you can got to a 255/75/16 or the stock 255/70/16...

Yes, this does help. I am going to look into 255/75/16. It is either this or install spacers that will eliminate the problem. I think.
