My '02 ST has been developing some stains on the stock aluminum wheels. They don't wash off with commercial car/wheel wash. Any suggestions? I don't want to harm the finish. Thanks, Jim :banana:

If the stains appear white, the clear coat is lifting or peeling.
My previous owner used harmful wheel cleaner sprays, or polishes.
Only fix is stripping and refinishing. A very messy and labor intensive job. :angry:

Strip the tires off the wheels and send 'em to your local powdercoater!! They will do the stripping/polishing then coat in any color you want. JMHO, BC

See if there is one of these guys near you. They fixed an alloy rim on my son's car and did a nice job. The rim itself was discontinued so it wasn't like I could buy another one.
