my rear left turning signal has been acting weird lately. sometimes, it blinks real fast (bulb doest work) and sometimes it blinks normally (bulb works fine). it comes and go and this only happens on my rear left. any idea?

thanks

Mat

Tilt your steering wheel up and down. See if it goes away. If so there is a problem with the wiring harness insid of the steering column covers. It tend to come unpluged. Take the covers off and pull some slack up and tie wrap the wires.

Dingo,

I love it! But let's just say that Mat D already has the synthetic blinker fluid...

I would have to agree with the tilt wheel diagnosis...

k i tried tilting my steering wheel now the blinker only works on the highest position. when i tilt it down, it blink really fast. i just got home and found out that one of my headlights just burn out. not a good week for my trac:( Seriously, i never heard of blinker fluid till today. i guess i learn something new everyday.

I am sure the issue is the wire harness in the column. If the rate changed simply by tilting the column, then there is an issue there.

I've got the same issue. The only time it's a problem is when the wife drives. She puts the wheel all the way down (she's shorter and 7 months pregnant so adjustments are necessary). She's knows about the "issue" There are two spots where everything works fine... all the way up and down one notch. She puts it down one, and I use all the way up.

Some day I'll get to fix it (along with the rear door latch and broken fog lamp that has been busted since the day my daughter was born.... 2-1/2 years ago...)
