Where is the Temperature Sensor located?

Friends,

I Ac blow out uncool air, So I Finally took my St to AutoZone for an Engine Light Check. it was Diagnose with Temperature Sensor is lower than expected. So I brought a Temperature sensor, now my question is where is the Tempt sensor located in the engine. I cant seem to find it. any help would great appreciated.

I assume you are referring to the Air Charge Temperature Sensor? If so, that is the sensor that reads the ambient temp and then sends the signal to the ECM/PCM and then the ECM/PCM adjust fuel ratios based on the information.



The sensor is almost always located in intake or some times in the plenum that runs to the intake. Like in the air box area or the tube that runs to the intake.



In most cases if it is threaded into the intake it will look very much like a coolant temperature sensor. So,,,, if you un-thread it and coolant comes out you got the wrong one...
