My friend was getting ready to move and he was going to use his Explorer. I was the first one to tell him what his problem was and he still dosen't understand. Where is the potition that was on this site?

Why can't I rent a certain piece of equipment?

The cargo van and pickup truck are only available for local moves. An alternative for your one-way move is the 10' truck or, if you have a towing vehicle, a trailer.

Some trailers and towing equipment may not be available because they cannot be towed by your chosen towing vehicle. Our open trailers are only available for local moves.

RoofPouches are only available in specific markets. Please call your neighborhood U-Haul location or 1-800-GO-UHAUL (1-800-468-4285) to check availability and rates and to make a reservation.

Ford Explorer owners: U-Haul has chosen not to rent behind this tow vehicle based on our history of excessive costs in defending lawsuits involving Ford Explorer towing combinations. This policy is not related to safety issues. This is an unusual circumstance for U-Haul – we have built our success for over 59 years by saying "yes" to our customers, and do not like saying "no" instead. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are committed to working with our customers to find alternative options to help with their move. Please contact 1-800-GO-UHAUL (1-800-468-4285) for assistance with alternative options.

I think sadly enough it was going no where, I don't think we got 1,000 sigs...

I sent the sigs to UHaul along with a politely indignant letter.

I took the petition down because I kept getting emails from people telling me how I should go after on UHaul: I put up a petition web site, so how about you, dear emailer, go sue UHaul's instead of asking me to do it for you?
