Was wondering where I could mount this amp...

Maybe under seats (front or back), or storage compartments. Was thinking the raised part of the floor in the back in the middle of the cab, underneath the middle back seat

Also, under the back seats, there is a spot that is raised up above the rest..Directly below where the panel covers the back seats when they are folded down (spring loaded). Could the amp fit on that raised part of the floor?

It's a Pioneer GM-6400F

The dimensions are 14-11/16"W x 2-7/16"H x 10-7/16"D

Thanks

I've got 2 amps,a large AC power inverter and my power distribution block all mounted behind the rear panel in my truck. I took the jack and stuff out, as well as the cubby off the door, but its all hidden away without a single wire visible or anything able to be kicked or damaged.

LOL...:D

I have that exact amp running my 6x8's...good choice.

[Broken External Image]:

When I get my sub and mono amp installed, I'm gonna relocate the amps behind the rear seats and a single 10 will go where this amp currently sits.

So, when it's behind the pass. seat, ya'll mount it to the back "wall" and it fits? Would it still be possible to keep the jack in there or do I have to take it out?

Yeah, mine's just short of 2 feet long and 9 inches wide. Behind the seat rocks.

Dingo, meant in the little compartment behind the seat...

You and your fancy, shmancy (sp?) Gen2...

I still have a sub in my little compartment. ;)

Fine, I'll trade you an un-installed amp (with all the accoutrements necessary for installation) and a 2001 ST with 111,XXX miles on it for your ST.

-And Hawaiian, does the amp still fit when the seat is folded down?

Folds down fine...

My left rear passengers tend to kick the amp when getting in or while sitting above the amp.

Already had to wipe off mud and vacuum sand out of it

hahahahahano. Mount it to the bottom of the seat. Same fitment as Hawaiian when folded, and no passenger kick marks.

Good idea Dingo, for the reasons above and when routing the wires, just go straight back and then yada yada yada trim panels = No wires on floor

Thanks

I've always been hesitant to install amps behind panels for ventilation, but if it works, good for you. :)

Yeah, run the wires with the seats down

And my previous offer is always on the table...
