Whining Differential

Took my Trac to the local dealer on the extended warranty at 81,500 miles. it has the 4.10 rear end with LSD and there was a jet engine whine that got louder with speed. They tore it down and put in new bearings and seals and it has stopped. Crowley Ford in Plainville CT. They were not who I purchased the Trac or the Warranty from. They weren't so successful in the Transmission, which slipped in reverse. They claimed it was down tow quarts (although I had only put 5000 miles on since purchase from another ford dealer) and added the fluid. I almost convinced myself this worked but, with another 100 miles, 3rd gear started whining, worse than the rear end ever did, and the slippage in reverse almost prevented me from backing out of the driveway to return it to the dealer.
